VEX Magnetometer (MAG) Calibrated Data (RDR)
RDR – Calibrated Data Record
Instrument: Magnetometer (MAG)
PDS Data Set ID: VEX-V-Y-MAG-3-V1.0, VEX-V-Y-MAG-3-EXT1-V1.0, VEX-V-Y-MAG-3-EXT2-V1.0, VEX-V-Y-MAG-3-EXT3-V1.0, VEX-V-Y-MAG-3-EXT4-V1.0
For more information about MAG calibrated data products, see the VENUS EXPRESS MAGNETOMETER To Planetary Science Archive Interface Control Document.
The Venus Express Magnetometer (MAG) calibrated data products (RDR) are space magnetic field data in physical units, i.e. space magnetic field in nanoTesla and in VSO coordinates. The time resolution is 1Hz for this type of data; all higher data rates are downsampled and included, such that full data-coverage 24 hr per day is obtained, with only few data-gaps.
The basic data were collected during the Venus Express mission from Launch (9th November 2005) to the end of the nominal mission(03 Oct 2007).
MAG RDR products have the following file names:
MAG_YYYYMMDD_DOYXXX_DZZZ_VN.TAB
where:
YYYYMMDD = date
XXX = day of the year
DZZZ = denotes the DATA-rate of the data in the file, where D is used for original data-rate files from the S/C; values are according to the scheme: D001 for 1 Hz data-rate only
N = Version number
In ODE, MAG RDR products have the following product IDs:
MAG_YYYYMMDD_DOYXXX_DZZZ_VN.TAB
