The Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera (LROC) Special Data Record Map Projected NAC Photometric ProductS (SDRPHO) are geometrically controlled NAC products for photometric series. Product includes calibrated, map-projected image (band 1) and backplanes for incidence (band 2), emission (band 3), and phase (band 4). The two Narrow Angle Cameras (NACs) provide high-resolution (0.5 to 2.0 m/pixel) panchromatic images over a combined 5 km swath. NAC images acquired of the same feature across different incidence, emission, and phase angles make up a photometric site. To extract accurate photometric information from a sequence, a control network is generated to tie each image to a NAC Digital Terrain Model (DTM) [1] derived orthophoto (ground truth), facilitating precise photometric angle calculations using the NAC DTM [2]. A bundle adjustment is performed to correct for pointing errors and image alignment. The images are then map-projected onto high resolution local area NAC DTMs [3].

LROC SDRPHO products have the following file names:

NAC_PHO_Eaaadoooo_Mnnnnnnnnna.IMG

where:

E = Equirectangular projection

aaa = latitude center to the tenth of a degree (nn.n) *10

d = direction

N = north

S = south

oooo = longitude center to the tenth of a degree (nnn.n) *10

nnnnnnnnn = 9 or 10 -digit Mission Elapsed Time of acquisition (with a single digit for partition which denotes a reset of the MET)

a = single character denoting the instrument

R = right NAC

L = left NAC

In ODE, SDRPHO products have the following product IDs:

NAC_PHO_EAAADOOOO_MNNNNNNNNNA
