LOLA RDR Query

   
Announcement - September 19, 2023:
The LOLA RDR Query tool has been updated with revised data from LRO PDS Release 55. You may need to clear any previously entered orbit critiera to see the new data.
ODE Notice:  Users are encouraged to query the LOLA RDR Query tool using our newer V2.0 interface. It provides additional output options, supports larger requests, and it can output data in tiles. In addition, the Verson 2.0 interface allows users to make multiple requests, which will be processed offline. Users will receive an email containing links to the requested files once each processing request completes.

The Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter's Lunar Orbiter Laser Altimeter (LOLA) instrument provides a series of laser altimetry measurements across the surface of Earth's moon. Click here to read more about LOLA.

LOLA offers two key altimetry products - the RDR and GDR products. LOLA RDR products are sets of individual altimetry readings organized along the spacecraft orbit track. The GDR products are RDR products assembled into global grids referenced to the Moon's center-of-mass. LOLA GDR products will meet many user needs and should be reviewed prior to using the LOLA RDR Query. Please see ODE's data product search for LOLA GDR products, and select LOLA Derived Data in Step 1 of your search.

The LOLA RDR Query provides a searchable database of individual RDR measurements.

Step 1. Select Feature or Data Point Latitude / Longitude Range to Search (A Selection is Required)

ODE uses planetocentric coordinates that are based on the frame center latitude and longitude. Please see the frame vs. point comparison in the ODE help.

   Select a Product ID or filter by a partial Product ID (Show Options - 0 Parameters Set)
   Filter by Altitude (Show Options - 0 Parameters Set)
   Filter by Orbit Number (Show Options - 0 Parameters Set)
   Filter by UTC Time (Show Options - 0 Parameters Set)
   Filter by Channels (Show Options - 5 Parameters Set)

Step 3. Preview Results Count

Click the button below to see how many LOLA RDR points match your selected criteria.
