The Gamma Ray Spectrometer (GRS) Element Concentrations Maps (ELEMTS) data products are a set of maps and underlying data products originally released to the public in March 2006. They contain data that was collected by the GRS between 06/04/02 and 04/03/05. These data are highly processed, and represent the fully-corrected, CO2 frost-free elemental concentrations. Data for all non-radioactive species have been masked to exclude polar regions where we currently cannot adequately deal with dilution by the large amounts of water ice.

GRS ELEMTS unsmoothed products have the following file names:

ttt_bbXbb.TAB (with detached PDS label)

where:

ttt = element

CL = chlorine

FE = iron

H2O = water

K = potassium

KVSTH = potassium to thorium ratio

SI = silicon

TH = thorium

bb = bin size (2, 5, or 10)

GRS ELEMTS smoothed products have the following file names:

ttt_SR_bbXbb.TAB

where:

ttt...bbXbb = same as above
