The Gamma Ray Spectrometer Experiment Data Record (GRSEDR) Pulser Spectra (PULSRS) data products are composed of the GS-derived spectra of three artificially produced pulses of energy as well as associated timing and spatial information. During the normal gamma spectrum collection voltages pulses of known amplitude, and a flag labeling them as pulsers, are sent to the GS detector at a frequency of 10 Hz. These are interpreted by the detector as events and binned in the appropriate channels, but saved in a separate memory location. Pulser spectra are used to evaluate the frequency response and drift of the GS detector and electronic components as functions of instrument temperatures, voltages, and other variables.
GRS PULSRS products have the following file names:
PULSER_SPECTRA_yyyymmdd.DAT (with detached PDS label)
where:
yyyy = year
mm = month (01-12)
dd = day (01-31)
In ODE, PULSRS products have the following Product IDs:
PULSER_SPECTRA_YYYYMMDD
